DefendTheStar.com was created by two long-time friends from New Jersey, Joe Covino and James Kanowitz, who met because they were both die hard fans of the Dallas Cowboys.  We always talked about our dream: to move to Dallas and work closely with the players we grew up idolizing. On September 24, 2000, Terrell Owens, then a 49er, despicably celebrated two touchdowns by disrespecting the Dallas Cowboys' famous star at mid-field.  On The second touchdown, when Owens headed back to the star, Cowboys safety George Teague charged the flamboyent receiver and hit him right before he got to the star...sending him sprawling to the turf. That day, at that moment, Teague defended all that himself, his teammates, and the Dallas Cowboy fans stand for. On that day, DefendtheStar.com was born.
